Well its not really magic - unless you believe in the magic of nature and her flora and fauna.
Equine Facilitated Learning uses horses, activities and the outdoors to providean alternative to
office and classroom based therapy. EFL is experiential. Research shows this to be the way most
people learn, and therefore provides most benefit to physical and emotional growth.
Taking part in activities and learning from experience promotes coping behaviours rather than defensive
behaviours. EFL helps people to learn about themselves and others.
I work in as part of a team with Laura Brennan (BHS Professional Accredited Coach) and a herd of
horses. I am the mental health speacialist and Laura is the equine specialist. We are both

in the equine industry for the past 17 years and for 12 years has run the Laura Brennan Equestrian

comended for customer care, horse welfare, stabling and working procedures), where with 21 horses
she delivers teaching and coaching to develop equestrian course members aged from two to adult.
